[TRAVEL] Portland with Friends – Day 3

We all got up early on day 3 – spent half of the day with Bri and another half with Sally + the boys. First stop, coffee and doughnut at Ristretto Roasters. I’m not an expert of coffee, but I know what I like and I like Ristretto Roasters a lot because their coffee is smooth and less tangy. Oh, and their doughnuts… We waited quite a long time to be seated at Tasty n Sons, but it was well worth it. We had Potatoes Bravas with over easy eggs, French Toast, Grilled Asparagus with sunny side up egg and then another egg dish with kimchi and rice. Later the day, Miss V and I said goodbye to Bri and Joy at the airport, then said hello to Sally and her boys.
It was a nice afternoon that day. Sally took us to Lovejoy Bakers for some sweets. I didn’t try any pastry, but chose biscuit and gravy with pork belly instead, which was quite hearty. Afterward, we walked over to the park for the little ones to run around while Sally and I chatted away. Highlight of the afternoon was dinner at Casa Shim – most amazing homemade chicken wings by Sally’s husband! I’m still drooling thinking about them.

Here are two photos I love, captured by Bri:
