{b’s archives} Old Photo

There are few things I collect for many years now – fashion and movie postcards, old photos, art exhibition posters and matchbox labels.  During the holidays, I started re-organizing my collections and thought it’d be nice to share them with you.

First up, this photo was found at the Long Beach Flea Market this past weekend.  I picked it because of the composition, the colors, the man swimming on the left corner, the dust on the window being reflected from sunlight…  Often times, sellers would give me funny looks and ask why I’d want an imperfect photo; in this case, part of the photographer’s finger has blocked off the right side of the photo.  To me, I love that it’s not perfect because that’s what makes it real.

I love that it’s not perfect too. Oddly, that’s what kinda makes it so cool.

i love this too! it may not be “perfect” but to me it is: the blue, the red (blurry finger), the man in the pool. everything seems to harmonize and work so perfectly in the composition!
